THE ROLE

The Senior Software Product Manager/ Business Analyst will support the founders to shape the product vision and strategy, take new product and enhancements from conception to launch and oversee future product design for our fast growing SaaS based, multi-tenant software platform.

Working with our clients, implementation teams and developers you will research markets, generate ideas, collaborate, co-ordinate and commercialise.

 


SENIOR SOFTWARE PRODUCT MANAGER/BUSINESS ANALYST

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

MINIMUM

  • 3 years of Software Product Management/BA experience with proven success
  • Have excellent Agile software life cycle experience
  • Have strong analytical and software skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal & presentation skills
  • You must have excellent English skills, both oral and written and a relevant IT or Product Management Business Degree / experience
  • Be adaptable and have a ‘can do’ attitude

ADVANTAGEOUS

  • Domain knowledge of Energy, Marine, Renewables or highly regulated industries
  • Knowledge of offshore certification, competence and personnel logistics planning
  • Database and PowerBI skills
  • Previous experience in a SaaS software role
  • Wireframe production
  • Microsoft Azure Devops
  • Based in North East Scotland

  • Distil feature ideas from epics into user stories, collaborating with technology teams to determine acceptance criteria
  • Maintain and prioritise backlog
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to design and prototype new products and features
  • Provide knowledge and understanding of product and feature goals to technology teams while they develop and test to your designs
  • Provide knowledge and understanding of product and feature to other stakeholders
  • Work alongside technical writers to create high quality documentation
  • Contribute to product vision and roadmap
  • Accept/sign-off stories
  • Define non-functional requirements

EXPERIENCE:

  • Working in a collaborative Agile environment with multi-disciplined teams
  • Canvassing users and customers for feedback
  • Defining features and distilling them into requirements, such as epics and user stories, and defining acceptance criteria

The Power BI Software Consultant will create standardised datasets, reports and dashboards from our SaaS based, multi-tenant software platform.

Working with our implementation team and developers you will create robust and sustainable datasets for use by multiple clients. You’ll also work with our clients to understand their requirements, generate ideas, collaborate and bring new ideas to commercialise and market.


Power BI Software Consultant

Skills & experience:

Minimum:

  • 3 years of Power BI Desktop Experience including DAX and Power Query/M Language
  • Experience as a database Administrator including the ability to work with SQL
  • Have strong analytical and software skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal & presentation skills

Advantageous:

  • Experience of power bi embedded in a multi-tenanted environment

The Role

 

The Software Support Specialist will sit within the Onboard Tracker Implementation team – assisting with Project Support, Support tickets and Software administrative tasks. A full role and person specification is provided overleaf.

 


Software Support Specialist

Key responsibilities will include:

SOFTWARE & IMPLEMENTATION SUPPORT

  • Attend remote and face to face service reviews with clients to ensure continued support, training and demonstrate new product features.
  • Supporting the Implementation Team with duties such as performing data analysis, data uploads to the system, rota building and creating Training and Competence Matrices.
  • Assist the Implementation Team with client support for both new and established clients, prioritising, and processing OBT support tickets in line with Service Line Agreements.
  • Administrative support for the Implementation Team.
  • Minute taking and creation of action task lists during both internal and client meetings.

 

SOFTWARE TESTING

  • Supporting the Development and Implementation Team in testing new system functionality.
  • Provide feedback and ideas to ensure the system is moving forward and we are delivering the best service and product to our clients.
  • Scope client requirements and create ‘user stories’ for Development Team.

 

The Ideal Candidate will:

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential:

  • Have experience or good understanding of working within the Oil & Gas Industry in a Training, Competence and/or Personnel Logistics role.
  • Be highly IT literate and confident in picking up new systems and processes.
  • Database experience.
  • Highly organised and excellent attention to detail.
  • Professional, friendly, and approachable with a can-do attitude.
  • Strong Excel Skills
  • Software testing experience
  • Ability to manage own workload.
  • Enjoys working part of a team.

Introducing our Business Support Graduate, Zoe!

We are delighted to welcome Zoe Prentice, our Business Support Graduate.

Zoe joins our team on a yearlong placement in collaboration with Opportunity North East (ONE), who fund training for SME’s taking on graduates.

As part of her placement, Zoe will spend time going round the Solab and Onboard Tracker teams to provide support and learn about the various roles within the business. Zoe will also attend classes at ONE on digital marketing, finance, and project management throughout the year.

On joining the team, Zoe says:
