We are thrilled to introduce Tracey Davy our Business Support and Finance Officer who has traversed the globe, specialising in finance and medical administration.
Her career journey encompasses work in the non-profit and primary industry sectors, providing a wealth of insights and a rich tapestry of accomplishments.
Let’s dive into their career background, personal inspirations, and more in this engaging Q&A session.
What’s your career background?
I have worked all over the world as a Senior Administrator, specialising in finance and medical administration. My primary focus has been within the non-profit and primary industry sectors. This diverse experience has given me a broad understanding of administrative practices in various environments and sectors.
What is the most inspiring part of your job?
I find great inspiration in witnessing the continuous development of Solab and Onboard Tracker. As the company expands, it’s fascinating to see new opportunities emerging, allowing us to evolve and contribute to our clients’ success.
Other than work, what else are you passionate about in life?
Originally my degree was in Fashion Design which was inspired by my love of drawing and the arts. I like to create new and interesting things which led me to design and make small handbag sized sensory tools for young children and those with Autism that can benefit from a sensory distraction. My evenings are quite often spent online gaming with friends and family, this is something that I got into properly when I met my husband. I love being able to immerse yourself into a whole other world either with others or by yourself depending on how you are feeling.
What is the best piece of advice you have ever been given?
“If you do what you always did, you will get what you always got.” This advice resonates with me as a reminder to embrace change and explore new paths to achieve growth and success.
What has been your biggest challenge, personally or professionally?
For me starting a whole new life in Australia with no connections or family was a huge challenge but one that was worth every minute. By choosing to stay in Australia I ended up with an amazing job working for the Autism Association of Western Australia, made some wonderful friends and most importantly met my husband.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
When I’m not working, I cherish quality time with my husband, two daughters, and our lovely dog, Pepper. We love exploring the beautiful city of Aberdeen and its surrounding areas, discovering new walks and exciting adventures for the girls. Once they are off to bed, you’ll often find me indulging in online gaming with loved ones, hitting the gym, or engrossed in a good book (currently enjoying the world of Harry Potter).
When you were 5 years old, what did you want to be when you grew up?
At that young age, I wanted to be either a Fireman or a Fashion Designer. Eventually, I pursued my passion for fashion and obtained a degree in Fashion Design for Industry at university.
Tracey’s expertise in finance and medical administration, combined with their creative pursuits and zest for life, adds a unique flavour to our team at Onboard Tracker. We celebrate are thrilled to have you onboard Tracey and look forward to continued growth and success together.
