Format of for the day
There will be a welcome followed by solution presentations, panel session and closing with a networking session and buffet lunch.
The panel session will be led by Bob Keller, Chairman of Scottish Enterprise. Bob will review the presentations,how they addressed the themes and industry issues and offer his suggestion on how the industry solution providers can collaborate more effectively.
Presentation Abstracts
Each speaker has 8 minutes to introduce their company and solution, how it addresses the issues facing the oil industry and harnesses the key technologies and methods, with customer examples.

Collabro – Legare Some of the world’s largest companies use Legare for rapid transfer of clean data from multiple sources into Primavera P6, guaranteeing data integrity and planning efficiency, and reducing the costs of manual spreadsheet entry and management.
ECS – David Calder, Director at ECS, will introduce us to the power of ‘Splunk’ and explain how this Big Data tool can enhance the operational efficiency and security of the oil industry. Splunk enables organisations to collect, search, analyse and report on any volume of machine data in real-time allowing operational insights to be surfaced, shared and acted on. ECS is the UK&I Splunk partner of the year for 2016.
EnergySys – Peter Black, managing director of EnergySys Limited, will explain why traditional solutions for hydrocarbon accounting have inhibited change and increased costs, and what can be done about it.

Pisys Bruce Catto, Group IT Manager, Craig Group, Aberdeen. Pisys Action Tracker software is used by 4000 people in 140 companies worldwide. Bruce will describe how North Star Shipping has implemented ATMS to track QHSE actions, audits and investigations and how it has had a significant impact on the transparency of information from the Vessel, Office, Workshop all the way through to completion.
TBS Enterprise Mobility Jon Poynton Commercial Director TBS – Connecting the Enterprise, Tightly controlled, slow and expensive to change, ERP systems are not good at providing mobile solutions. Jon will explain how TBS are providing innovative mobile solutions that get around these constraints to provide service and inspection tasks in line with process and compliance needs and in a way that’s easy to use by a mobile workforce working in harsh environments.
TRACS Assets Ltd Dr Derek Austin, Managing Director, will explore the unique energy industry challenges of tracking ownership, physical location, associated costs, billing, ERP integration (SAP, Oracle and others) and status of oilfield rental equipment. Currently managing annual revenues and costs of over $750 million TRACS utilises the latest mobile technologies to extend full asset tracking to the field.
